nonprofit partners

Regardless of the condition of the economy, nonprofit organizations continually struggle for funding to serve their clients. Most rely on external funding (government funds, grants from charitable foundations, direct donations) to maintain their operations and changes in these sources of revenue may influence the reliability or predictability with which the organization can hire and retain staff, sustain facilities, or create programs.

It is our privilege to contribute to our nonprofit partners. Their missions are courageous and noble; in many cases they are composed of staff members who work there to serve others, even though they typically could make substantially more in another field. They are truly passionate about what they do.

Your purchases from Rahzo.com help fund nonprofits and help them serve the needs of their clients. We thank you for supporting Rahzo. However, the clients of our nonprofit partners are the true beneficiaries.

Mercy Corps

Mercy Corps exists to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities. Mercy Corps helps people in the world’s toughest places turn the crises of natural disaster, poverty, and conflict into opportunities for progress. Driven by local needs and market conditions, our programs provide communities with the tools and support they need to transform their own lives. Our worldwide team of 3,700 professionals is improving the lives of 14.5 million people in 37 countries.

Since 1979, Mercy Corps has provided $1.7 billion in assistance to people in 107 nations. In fiscal 2008 (July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008), the resources of our global operations totaled close to $244 million. Our global operating budget for fiscal 2009 (July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009) is $335 million. We take efficient stewardship of our resources very seriously: over the past five years, more than 89 percent of our resources have been allocated directly to programs that help people in need.

Art with Heart

Since 1996 Art with Heart has served more than 41,000 children ages 5 – 18 with innovative therapeutic programs that include books with guided therapeutic activities for youth in crisis; training, curriculum and resources for caregivers and therapists; as well as opportunities for creating or increasing positive connections with supportive adults. Our vision is to reach high-risk children, who have little or no control over their life circumstances and have the least access to mental health support. Our work is based on the belief that, in order for youth to be successful in their educational and life endeavors, they must be emotionally and mentally healthy.
